Can I darken a lite colored bridle to match my breast collar? ?
I have a dotted breast collar for my horse I just love. It is a walnut color, lookes great on my red dun. My problem is I cant find a bridle to match. I did find one that is the right style, but wrong color. It is more of the light color. Can I darken it? With oil? The bridle I found is Martin Saddlery a very heavy stiff thick leather
you can do a couple of things: take it to a boot or saddle maker/ repair they will have a dye and have the experience to dye it for you or go to a Tandy leather store and they will help you pick out a dye to use and explain how to use it
